Countable Nouns and Uncountable Nouns

Countable nouns are nouns that can be counted.
        Example:  bag, apple
Uncountable nouns are nouns that cannot be counted.
       Example :  salt, flour
a)   We can use  a few,many,some and several with countable nouns.
       Example : Several cats are playing with each other.
b)   We use any in negative sentences and questions.
       Example : I do not have any friends in this town
                       There isn't any food left for him to eat.
c)   Uncountable nouns do not have plural forms.
d)   We can use a little, some and much with uncountable nouns.
       Example : There is a little oil left in the bottle.
                       Please pour some coffee into my cup.
e)   We can use some and a lot of with countable nouns and uncountable nouns.
       Example : You have to add some sugar into your drink.
                            There are some mangoes on the tree.
